I just can’t get enough off listening to Joe Pass.  Here’s a recording of Joe Pass & Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen (that great bass player that has inspired so many others).  It’s recorded at the Umbria Jazz festival in 1991.

It starts with two sole pieces by Joe and there’s an upright bass solo further on (how often do you hear that??)  No doubt you’ll recognize the songs.  But even iff you don’t, it puts a smile on your face and warmth in your heart.
