It’s no secret, I’m a big fan of Joe, so here’s Joe Pass again, in a rarely seen 1984 solo concert at Long Beach City College. It gives you – beside one of the best jazz concerts I’ve ever seen – an insight into the ability of Joe to create incredible music from a few notes and chords.
His rare ability to compose on the spot – beyond just improvising a melody over some chords – is what makes Joe so special. He creates harmonies, rhythms and melody all at the same time, never playing the same thing twice. So enjoy this concert, here’s Joe Pass again!
